Announcing the Bless’er House Paint Color Collection with Romabio: Introducing Feather!

It’s with a mixture of disbelief and immense joy that I finally get to share this incredible news: Bless’er House is officially curating its very own paint color collection!

This endeavor feels like a dream come true, especially since it’s in collaboration with a company we’ve cherished for years, Romabio. Our journey with Romabio began years ago when Robert and I first discovered their transformative products. We fell head over heels in love with their Classico Limewash, which allowed us to revitalize our fireplaces and give the entire exterior brick of our home a stunning, timeless makeover. Romabio was one of the first companies to truly believe in this little blog, supporting us from the very beginning, and it’s been an honor to grow alongside them. To now unveil a paint color collection in partnership with Romabio is not just a collaboration; it’s a testament to a shared passion for quality, beauty, and creating healthier homes.

The Premiere Hue: Feather – A Timeless Neutral

We are absolutely thrilled to introduce the very first color from the Bless’er House Color Collection for Romabio: a versatile and sophisticated shade we’ve named “Feather.” This exceptional color made its debut in the recent rec room makeover for the Carney family, and the transformation it brought about is nothing short of miraculous. Looking back at the before pictures, it’s hard to believe it’s the same space.

Before the Magic

After the Transformation with Feather

The impact of “Feather” is undeniable. Applied with Romabio Low Lustre Interior paint, “Feather” presents a timeless, modern neutral hue infused with a subtle hint of gray. Its unique balance allows it to harmonize beautifully with both warm and cool accents, making it an incredibly adaptable color choice for any interior design scheme. My vision for “Feather” was to create a truly versatile and forgiving neutral—one that could serve as the perfect backdrop without overwhelming a space. Choosing the ideal neutral can often be a daunting task, but “Feather” effortlessly ticks all the boxes. It possesses an understated elegance that forms a serene and sophisticated atmosphere, allowing bolder colors and unique decor pieces to truly shine as the spotlight in a room.

The Inspiration Behind “Feather”

Every color in our collection will carry a story, and “Feather” is no exception. Its name holds a deeply personal significance, inspired by two elements most precious to me:

1. My husband Robert and I have always shared a profound appreciation for birds. Our wedding day itself featured a subtle bird theme, a romantic detail that celebrated our shared interests and commitment. Naming this color “Feather” serves as a sweet, constant nod to that special day and the enduring bond we share.
2. More profoundly, “Feather” pays tribute to one of my most cherished Bible verses, Psalm 91:4: “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.” This verse encapsulates a sense of peace, protection, and comfort—qualities I hope to evoke in every home painted with this beautiful hue. It’s about creating spaces where families can feel safe, nurtured, and at ease.

Why Romabio? The Unmatched Quality of Mineral-Based Paints

Our decision to partner with Romabio goes beyond their stunning color palette; it’s rooted in their commitment to health, quality, and environmental consciousness. Romabio’s mineral-based paints are truly exceptional, offering unparalleled depth and richness to each color. The Low Lustre Interior finish, in particular, is a game-changer for homeowners seeking both beauty and well-being. It’s not just paint; it’s a healthier lifestyle choice.

These paints are hypo-allergenic, virtually odorless, and completely free from harsh chemicals. This means there’s no unpleasant “new paint smell” or harmful VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) off-gassing into your home environment. For expecting mothers, young families with small children, or individuals managing asthma and other breathing sensitivities, this benefit is profound. You can breathe easy knowing your walls are coated with one of the healthiest paints available on the market, without sacrificing an ounce of durability or aesthetic appeal. The luminous finish created by Romabio’s mineral paints brings an organic, soft glow to any room, enhancing natural light and creating an inviting atmosphere that is both sophisticated and incredibly comfortable.

The walls in the Carney family’s rec room will certainly be put to the test with daily family life, but we have complete confidence in their ability to withstand the rigors of an active household. Romabio paints are engineered for lasting beauty and resilience, ensuring your investment stands the test of time.

Complementary Hues: Completing the Look

In the rec room makeover, to achieve a cohesive and polished look, we carefully selected complementary colors for the trim and cabinetry. For the trim work, we opted for Romabio Interior Satin in Galleria White. This crisp, clean white provides a beautiful contrast to “Feather,” highlighting architectural details and brightening the space. Its subtle sheen adds a touch of elegance without being overly glossy, perfectly complementing the Low Lustre finish of the walls.

For the cabinetry, we chose Benjamin Moore Newburg Green. This specific selection was made because we required a specialty paint formulated specifically for cabinetry, ensuring optimal adhesion, durability, and a flawless finish. The rich, deep green of Newburg Green offers a striking pop of color against the neutral backdrop of “Feather,” creating visual interest and adding a layer of sophistication to the room. The interplay between these colors demonstrates how “Feather” can serve as a versatile foundation, allowing bolder elements to truly stand out and define a space’s character.

With the paint now beautifully applied, I’m eagerly anticipating the next phase: loading in the furniture and decorating this charming rec room to its full potential! The progress so far is truly remarkable, and I can’t wait to share the finished space with you all. It has truly come a long way, transforming from a simple room into a welcoming, stylish, and functional haven for the Carney family.
