“Hi everyone! I’m Beth from Beth’s Journal Boutique, and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of The Graphics Fairy’s Spring/Summer 2023 design team! My journey into the world of junk journaling began over nine years ago, and it has been a passion ever since. My signature style typically gravitates towards a vintage shabby chic aesthetic, characterized by soft pastels, distressed textures, and a timeless romantic feel. However, I sometimes enjoy venturing into a playful retro design, showcasing the incredible versatility of vintage imagery.

What defines my journals are the many intricate details and abundant layers that bring each piece to life. Yet, despite the rich embellishments, I always ensure there’s ample space for memory-keeping, personal reflections, and creative journaling. A journal, after all, is a personal narrative waiting to be filled, and I believe in providing a beautiful backdrop for those cherished stories. For my project this month, I decided to tackle a flip-flop journal – a design I’ve been seeing frequently across YouTube and was eager to try my hand at. This unique journal style, constructed primarily from envelopes, offers boundless possibilities for size, structure, and ingenious folding mechanisms. It’s an incredibly fun and resourceful way to repurpose those envelopes we all accumulate, transforming ordinary mail into extraordinary art!”
