Gina shares her personal creative philosophy, explaining how she often finds the most effective way to break free from a creative rut is by venturing into uncharted territory. While she has always admired the intricate design and interactive nature of folios – those delightful multi-layered creations with their charming flips, tucks, and pockets – she had never actually constructed one herself. For her monthly Graphics Fairy Design Team project, Gina decided to embrace this new challenge. Her vision was clear: to create a functional yet beautiful folio specifically designed to house and organize cherished letter writing supplies, transforming a simple organizational tool into a work of art.

This decision to explore a new format not only sparked her creativity but also resulted in a truly unique and highly functional piece. The folio, with its many compartments and interactive elements, proved to be the perfect vessel for a letter writing theme, offering endless possibilities for storing stationery, stamps, envelopes, and little notes.

The journey began with a humble manila file folder, a common office supply transformed into the sturdy foundation of this vintage-inspired masterpiece. Gina meticulously cut the folder down to a practical size of approximately 8.5 x 11 inches, making it perfectly portable and manageable. The true magic began when she adorned this base.
